Strategic Alliances

FIDMi has developed partnerships with Credit Unions in the United States and in the Latin America Region.

FIDMi has established relationships with multilateral organizations, international development agencies, national and international non-governmental organizations, local community leaders.

National Partnerships
FIDMi is a founding member of the National Alliance of Latin American and Caribbean Communities (NALACC). The National Alliance of Latin American and Caribbean Communities (NALACC) mission is to improve the quality of life for Latinos and Latino immigrants in their communities both in the United States and in countries of origin.  NALACC seeks to build transnational leadership capacity and increase immigrant civic participation, so that immigrants can advocate effectively for public policies that address the root causes of migration, as well as addressing the challenges faced by immigrants in the United States.  NALACC aspires to become an entity recognized for its ability to articulate the challenges faced by transnational immigrant communities, as well as viable solutions to those challenges. Regional Partnerships
FIDMi-COOSAJO
FIDMi is establishing partnerships with the San Jose Credit Union LR, COOSAJO in Guatemala. COOSAJO’s provides financial services in the Northwest of Guatemala. FIDMi-SAGRADA FAMILIA
FIDMi is establishing a partnership with Sagrada Familia Credit Union of Honduras. Sagrada Familia Credit Union seeks to offer, with the support of talented staff, a diversity of high quality financial products and services that will contribute to the social, cultural and economic development of their membership and the community. FIDMi- FEDECACES
FIDMi established a partnership with FEDECACES to induce remittances through this organization network of credit unions. FEDECACES mission is to contribute to the success of member credit unions by providing institutional support for their efficacy, financial stability and their integration to the financial system through performance development and cash flow and; through innovative intermediary processes that foments the organization of the cooperatives. Local Community-Based Organizations and Local Donors
FIDMi has established working relations with variety local community-based organizations to provide financial literacy workshops, financial counseling and services referrals. Among them, Neighbor’s Consejo, www.neighborsconsejo.org, La Clinica del Pueblo, www.lcdp.org, Family Place, www.thefamilyplace.org, Spanish Catholic Center, www.spanishcatholiccenter.org; Marys’ Center for Maternal Child Health, www.maryscenter.org ; Latin American Youth Center, www.layc.org; Hermanas Unidas, Ayuda, www.ayudainc.org . In addition, FIDMi has been participating in the DC SAVES Campaing; www.dcsaves.org
